Migrating From USDH to USDC
USDH users should treat migration as an asset-conversion and operational process: verify the current official redemption route, convert or redeem, then update any markets, collateral, contracts, or accounting that still assume USDH.
USDH.com sunset on July 17, 2026. Its current notice says the USDH/USDC Hyperliquid spot liquidity and 1:1 Across conversions were deprecated, while users could continue redeeming USDH 1:1 for USDC or converting to fiat through Bridge over the coming months with separate onboarding. Anyone still holding USDH should use the current official route rather than an old tutorial.
1. Verify the current notice
Start at USDH.com and follow only its current official redemption destination. Sunset processes change over time, and old interfaces or community links can become stale.
2. Inventory exposure
Check wallet balances, vaults, LP positions, contracts, accounting systems, and any bot configuration that uses USDH. The migration is not complete if the wallet is converted but an automated system still tries to quote or transfer USDH.
3. Redeem or convert
Follow the provider's current onboarding and redemption instructions. Confirm the asset received is the intended native USDC representation and verify transaction state before using it as collateral.
4. Update accounting
Record conversion date, quantity, any fees, transaction IDs, and the resulting asset. Institutions should document the sunset event as an asset-lifecycle change rather than silently relabel USDH balances as USDC.
5. Remove stale dependencies
Disable old routes and market assumptions. A deprecated USDH/USDC order book should not be used as a live peg oracle or liquidity source.
