Native USDC on HyperEVM
Native USDC on HyperEVM is issuer-backed USDC minted for the chain by Circle's infrastructure, avoiding the additional bridge-wrapper claim created by a third-party wrapped stablecoin.
Native USDC means the token on HyperEVM is part of Circle's official issuance system rather than a third-party bridge IOU representing USDC locked elsewhere. Circle announced native USDC and CCTP support for Hyperliquid in 2025 and expanded its role in 2026 as technical deployer of the aligned USDC. This improves portability and redemption clarity for applications using USDC across HyperEVM and HyperCore.
Native versus bridged
A wrapped asset normally depends on the bridge that locks or custodies the original and issues a representation. Native USDC is issued under Circle's own token infrastructure on the destination chain.
That removes one bridge-wrapper layer, though Circle issuer and smart-contract risks remain.
HyperEVM role
USDC can be used by lending, AMMs, vaults, and other EVM contracts. Circle's aligned deployment also connects native supply to HyperCore quote and collateral use through Hyperliquid's transfer mechanisms.
Redemption
Direct Circle Mint access is subject to Circle's eligibility and institutional service terms, while other users can trade or use USDC through secondary markets. “Redeemable 1:1” does not mean every retail wallet has a direct Circle Mint account.
Contract verification
Applications should use the official token address from Circle or Hyperliquid documentation. Stablecoin scams often exploit users who recognize a symbol but do not verify the contract.
